Musings on life in Lodeve, Languedoc

December days

Posted by celiahukins on 01/01/2011

A cold Christmas in the Languedoc – but not like what we would have been experiencing back in the UK. It was the Tramontane that made it cold, with gusts of over 100 km per hour. Other years we’ve been able to have at least our Christmas aperitif outside at 2.00 pm; on Christmas Day this year we had a very bracing walk round Lac du Salagou before retreating inside for our meal – it was sunny but too windy to sit outside. After some grey days it got warmer and the wind dropped; an ideal day for lighting a bonfire.
